So are we going to get swept on another weekend series?

Last weekend, Coastal swept Maryland in three games by scores of 16-0 (Friday), 10-3 (Saturday), and 3-2 (Sunday).

The Chanticleers rank third nationally in double plays turned this season with 16.

The Chanticleers’ pitchers are allowing just over four (4.1) earned runs per game allowed thus far this season. With the exception of the road loss at #7 NC State (March 4), CCU has not allowed more than four earned runs in a single game this year.

Coastal has seven pitchers that have an ERA of 2.45 or lower so far this season:

Shaddon Peavyhouse (0.00 ERA, 7.0 IP)
Jay Causey (0.00 ERA, 4.1 IP)
Chase Antle (0.00 ERA, 2.0 IP)
*Zach McCambley (1.50 ERA, 18.0 IP)
Alaska Abney (1.50 ERA, 12.0 IP)
*Nick Parker (2.40 ERA, 15.0 IP)
*Scott Kobos (2.45 ERA, 13.2 IP)

*Likely starters for CCU this weekend

I would love to see get two, one is doable in my view. MT has played a tougher schedule and seen a lot a good hitters, batting is suspect against quality pitching so we'll see.

just a note, at the moment, MT's non conference SOS is ranked 12th nationally with opponents' overall record 111-58...

So MT's won loss record is really a reflection of how tough the schedule to date has been. Entering the weekend, CCU was 16th in RPI and MT was 96th. MT after the win moved to 78th, ccu after their loss to MT dropped to 39th in RPI.

Great win yesterday. Looks like they’re off to a tight start today. If they could somehow come away with the rubber match that would be a HUGE shot in the arm.
