...The first-place Blue Raiders (16-11, 8-1 C-USA) enter the pivotal
series with a half-game lead over the second-place Owls (20-11, 9-3) in
the league standings.


The two teams are No. 35 (MTSU) and No. 36
(Rice) in college baseball's RPI according to WarrenNolan.com. The only
C-USA team ahead of both program's in the RPI entering this weekend's
round of games is No. 7 Florida Atlantic.



MTSU beat FAU twice in three games earlier this season.....

Arguably the least circular state in the union!! I could understand if
it was Upper Tennessee State, with their storied history and deep
pockets, or even Lower Tennessee State with their plucky ambition and
bootstrap resolve. But *Middle* Tennessee?? MIDDLE!?? It's like losing
to Jan or Peter! Alas. Alors. Anon. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED!!...
