ttusports says the series is in favor of MT 109-65-1, adding 27-33 from before 1974. Not sure why MT desn't have the same numbers. Have come across disagreements on records with other old rival schools as well.
 
That is odd. I remember going to see them play when I was in school at Tech and that was from 1968 to 1972.
 
Well chalk up another midweek loss, another loss to an instate team. 5-6

Stayed til the bitter end. Just incredible that we can't translate some weekend success to midweek games...

My guess would be the distinction of "college division" versus "university division" of the NCAA's back then; 1974 I guess would have been the time when some of our sports transitioned to what we now know as Division I? Basketball transitioned several years earlier, probably about the time when we dropped the Volunteer State Athletic Conference affiliation, which came a little after our OVC affiliation in 1952. I would say TTU's records are more correct because it counts all divisions.

Add that to the drubbing we suffered to APSU last week. Unacceptable.
