They typically leave that position open for the incoming OC. It’s very typical for a former QB to coach WR or RBs prior to moving up to OC/QB.Why wouldn't he just be the QB coach?
Hell no.HC in waiting once Rick retires.
Why wouldn't he just be the QB coach?
Recruiting coordinator.Hearing some chatter that Sara Stockstill will be joining as OC.
Although the comment was tongue in cheek, would it surprise you?Hell no.
We need to limit candidates to those with conference championships in their background.
No. McPhee needs to take Massaro's hiring ability away and give it to Blackburn.Although the comment was tongue in cheek, would it surprise you?
I'm all out of giving f--ks about what Rick wants!!!!Was always in the works, for two reasons:
Rick wanted to work with Brent before he retires.
Rick wanted to make sure Brent was on staff here during a transition to the next HC.
You only do that as Rick if (pick which applies):Rick wanted to make sure Brent was on staff here during a transition to the next HC.
Great hire! Brent will bring a lot to this program! Fine young man! Go Blue 💙
This is not the Stockstill family football program. Was always in the works, for two reasons:
Rick wanted to work with Brent before he retires.
Rick wanted to make sure Brent was on staff here during a transition to the next HC.
It is when his buyout to make him go away is nearly an amount equal to 20% of the entire athletic budget. This is not the Stockstill family football program.
1 and 3 are true, in my opinion. You only do that as Rick if (pick which applies):
1. You have, or expect to have, say in who the next coach is and who the staff will be.
2. You have absolutely no fear of ever being fired no matter what happens so no fear of a major staff turnover in a transition.
3. You hope that when you leave, the next coach is more likely to keep your son on staff as the usual 1 hold-over from the previous staff.
4. You’re an idiot, because a new coach might clean house and would not want the previous coach’s son on his staff.
5. You believe Brent is the HC in waiting.
Most positional coaches are on 1 year contracts.1 year huh. Takes the whole I know something you don't know to a new level.
Any money he makes..... Gone. LOL.- So happy to be here
- Hopefully for only one year
- We're buying a house and doing a lot of upgrades ( for one year) #CapitalGainsTax
