Congratulations to the ladies, & CRI for their awards this year. Personally I was somewhat surprised for Coach Insell, was expecting COY to go to Liberty's head coach.
Only draw back for MT is if we end up meeting Liberty in the finals you know they're going to use the COY selection for additional motivation.

Does anybody doubt that Boldyreva was the top player in this conference? It's like the P.O.Y. is just for offensive player of the year. I don't think Molly Kaiser would have started for us. Ta'Mia Scott is better offensively and more versatile and Jalynn Gregory's defense is 10 times better than Kaiser's. Kaiser doesn't rebound well even for a guard and she's an average ballhandler and defensive player. New Mexico State actually got better as her scoring average dropped.

It was definitely a slight against Nas and I agree with everything you said. I mean, the conference POY just got knocked out by a lower seed in their first round game… tells you all you need to know. Not to say she’s a bad player because Kaiser is clearly a great one but I don’t think she was the best, by any stretch of the imagination.
