    Good for the kids. Go get paid. But I agree that if a P5 schools plucks a G5 kid, there should be some sort of buyout in place that reimburses the G5 school. I think we’ll see this happen once the haves and have nots fully silo themselves.

    Hard to say because those offensive guys have been with Chadwell forever. I think Kennesaw State and Army run similar concepts too. I don’t really have specific names because I doubt they are realistic. Mason will probably hire someone he’s already worked with.

    I’m not going to disagree with your conclusion, I am not sure this is a “sure thing.” But the idea that no one wanted him is a misnomer. He is a very, very well respected defensive mind. That does not guarantee success as MTSU’s HC. But he would have found a role somewhere had he wanted it.

    He’s very well respected as a defensive coach. My initial inclination is he is not the “big personality” needed, but it’s hard to turn down the opportunity to hire a SEC level (whether HC or coordinator is up for debate) coach.
