FOOTBALL Since we’ve been discussing our leadership…..

If we are lucky within 5 years, our AD and President will retire. The concern I have though, will that be too late for us to make up ground?

I would prefer the rule that says you have to sit out a year if you transfer, unless you are a grad student. Make the kids think twice before making a big decision. Additionally in the long run it would help kids secure a good education, again making these kids look at the big picture and not...

I was excited to see Lowe and Riles when they signed MT. I thought one would emerge as a starter and the other probably transfer out. I really don't know where these guys can land if they couldn't crack the starting role at MT. Maybe one year at a smaller school and then look to transfer...

I really wanted to see what Lowe could do, but he's down too far to get a shot. What about Riles? Is he the #2 now? I would like to see him get a shot as well.

BRP interview with Massaro pt. 2 coming this Tuesday

I've given some thought to the Nick McDisappointment situation and since they are keeping him for next year, it's really a No Win Situation. If he continues on the same path of losing next year, he will be dismissed and it will be another lost year for fans. It also further hurts our chance of...

Should Nick McDevitt have been fired after Six Years of 37% Performance vs D1?

Has anyone tried to secure an interview with Messaro and just flat out asked what is the remaining contract, when was it signed and what metrics require his continued retention based on subpar results? Seems pretty easy to directly ask him in an interview, email, phone call, etc.

Should Nick McDevitt have been fired after Six Years of 37% Performance vs D1?

Can we print posters with that same question and post them around campus? The question alone is eye opening how bad it's been and how LESS than mediocrity is accepted at MT. He isn't even at .500 over 6 years???? Wow. How do you justify him staying? If you look at Kermit's record he was...

Pretty good summary and lots of good examples. The future of MT, it's alumni, fanbase, the area, etc. have all been hurt by this acceptance of mediocre results as a banner of success. There is literally no expectations to be above .500 in any sport. It's truly mind boggling and really could...

As MT01 pointed out there is no metric that shows he should be retained. This one is a head scratcher. Not surprising though. With Suckstill there was a big contract and big (for MT) payout to navigate. From what we understand that is not the case with McDud. Cut him loose!

    FOOTBALL New conference realignment rumblings

It does feel like the trend to larger super conferences will continue. As the ACC backfills, it would make sense for AAC and SBC to possibly come together. That would be where I would like to see MT. But as others have mentioned, we have really nothing to offer except a big market and...

    FOOTBALL New conference realignment rumblings

Such a critical time for MT. Clemson and FL State are looking to get out of the ACC. That leaves the ACC probably trying to backfill those spots by poaching other conferences. That potentially sets up the dominoes for MT for a conference change. I will keep screaming from the mountain tops...

We have to continue to blow them up on social media. They have to know how frustrated the fanbase is with the decision to keep a failing coach in place. If his buyout is as manageable as people have mentioned, there is no reason NOT to make the change. Stock had a big contract in place, this...

BASKETBALL CUSA Semifinal: (#7) Middle Tennessee vs (#3) WKU, 2PM, Friday, March 15, 2024

Why would a kid want to commit to playing basketball here? If they don’t make a change at head coach, we are sliding into the same problem we had with football. It’s a death spiral. Poor results on The court, leading to poor talent being recruited and fans turned away with disappointmen...

I’m glad it wasn’t close to make the pain that much greater, with hopes of getting a new coach.

    FOOTBALL Transfer

Good luck getting a starting job or even decent playing time this late in the process. Looking at his stats his first few years were productive, but hasn’t done anything the past few seasons. What happened?

If his buyout is $300K, then bye bye. We need to reposition the program and he has shown only one good season, that’s just not good enough. I really think we are at a pivotal point for athletics and the next 2 years will be crucial. We need to get back on track, leverage our booming market...

    BASKETBALL Return of Kermit?

I really don’t follow basketball, but do want to see MT succeed. Did anyone determine NM‘s contract status? Could this be his last year?

    FOOTBALL New conference realignment rumblings

I’m with you. We have to get things in order now to get a possible last chance to move to a better conference like AAC. This article shows the dominos that will likely fall, and then that’s our chance to show we can fill the void. I am seeing some positive things with Mason taking over (what...

    FOOTBALL New conference realignment rumblings

I agree. If that’s the best we can do, then go MAC. It was way more respectable than what CUSA is becoming. Kennesaw, Jacksonville State and Tarleton. That’s a death sentence that I don’t see us ever having a chance to move on from. Embarassing. I literally had to google those schools to...

    FOOTBALL New conference realignment rumblings

AAC > MAC > CUSA If we will never have a shot at AAC and reuniting with some of our old schools, then just go to the MAC. CUSA is terrible, but if it’s temporary then I’m fine staying for a little while.
